When refinancing an auto loan, do lenders use the retail or trade-in value to price your car?
I'm want to refinance my auto loan as my income and credit have increased a considerable amount. I have about $10,000 left to pay on a 2006 Toyota Corolla. The retail value of my car is a little under 10,000, but the trade in value is only around 6,000. I was wondering when lenders value your car, do they use the retail or trade in value? I know I won't be able to refinance my car if I'm 4,0000 upside down, but I have been making extra payments. Thanks in advance

Can a car dealer sell your trade before securing financing for auto loan?
I traded my volkswagen jetta last Wednesday for a new SUV. I was told that financing had been secured by BMW financial, I signed a contract, and I thought everything was alright. This week I get a call from the dealer stating that financing for the SUV had fell through. The dealer requested that I come back in to sign a new contract with different terms the APR and monthly payments went up . I told the dealer that I did not agree with the new terms and requested my Jetta. The dealer informed me that the Jetta had been sold at auction and that I had to buy a car from them. I refused to sign a new contract and left the dealer without a car. The dealer has not paid off the loan for the Jetta. So my question is, can a dealer sell your trade before securing financing for a new auto loan?

Can I add a co-buyer to my vehicle title without adding them to the auto loan?
I want to add my son on the title of the vehicle, but was wondering if I can add him without refinancing and adding him to the auto loan. I have a great rate and don't want to change that.I meant co owner not co buyer. And it is technically is his car. Just he is 17 And can't hold a loan in his name. And he makes the payments on it each month under my name.

Need a recommendation for a good auto loan website for bad credit?

Better to take personal loan or auto loan for used car?
I know when you take an auto loan you are required to have full coverage insurance while you are in payment status until you have paid it off. With a personal loan I believe the interest is higher but you do not have to keep full coverage on the car. Anyone with any experience and can tell me which is the most economical way to go?

When you are approved for online auto loan do have to put $$ down to purchase the car? ?

Do you think a credit union will approve an auto loan for a 2003 BMW 330 with 92,000 miles on it that cost 8995? How much of a down payment would you put on a car this low? Do you think I can talk the dealer down on the price? Give me some info..appreciate it

Getting financed for an auto loan!?
Okay so i tried financing a car through a large dealership twice around six months ago but i was turned down. I was making around 1,000 a month at the time with a part time job and they turned me down because i supposely had a bad judgement on my credit file. I went and checked my credit files from the 3 agencies and i only had a judgement on 1 of them which was EX. I checked my credit scores as well and they were at EX 550 TU 612 EQ 640. Now that judgement was an error since me and my dad have the same name so i contacted Experian and it took about 3 weeks to get the judgement completely removed.I have been monitoring my credit files for a couple months now and as of right now my scores are EX 660 TU fico 680 EQ fico 703 and have held a fulltime job for 8 months where i make about 1600 a month. I want to finance a new Maxima but the problem is that i have a negative equity of 10k. Now here is the thing, if i trade it in i would at least get 3k which would bring the negative equity to 7k and the dealer has a sale of $2,500 cash back on the Maxima, I'll throw in $500 from my pocket and that would bring down the equity to 4k which i want to get rolled over to the new deal. Is that possible? Would the dealer get me approved?Thank You.

Whats the diffrence betweeen a auto loan and a perosnal loan for a car im not to clear?
